One more time -- this printer is CRAP. The software is
CRAP. The cable is CRAP. The Indian "tech" supporters are
CRAP. Lexmark is CRAP.

Any questions? Any answers? Anyone care for a mint?

Agreed. But whoever wrote this printer driver should have
his American or Indian balls shot off at high noon.

Their tech support is reading a basic troubleshooting

chart
and I get the same wrong advice each time. One of the
supervisors actually called me back one time, but he never
got anywhere either.

I'm not sure the nationality of the code writers has

anything to do with
this. I have met some very talented code writers from

India and some
others from North America who I would not wish to write

me
a postcard,
let alone a printer driver.

Many companies outsource code work and have fine

products.

Thanks for the tip. My previous printer was a Cannon

and it
was super. Parallel port and fast! Sad thing is -

this
Lexmark actually prints very well - especially

considering
that I have kicked the sh*t out of it a hunderd times.

Bad
software makes anything look bad. That, plus the

Indian
tech support difficulties.

** LEXMARK?? Are you reading this!? Give up on those

low
budget Indian programmers and hire an AMERICAN ***

I don't know that you'll find anyone who will disagree

with that statement!

The Canon multifunction range are excellent.... but

check

they have drivers

for Win9x systems before purchasing.

When I am printing and run out of paper, the printer

stops

and beeps. Then after I add paper, and hit the

'resume'

button, it starts to print the next page but then

stops
after a few seconds and an error message appears on

the
screen (click "close" or "ignore"). I have to hit

click

"ignore" to get the printing to resume and complete.

Anyone know how to stop that error message from

coming

up?
