I have just had to reinstall Win 98SE on my Dell laptop Latitude CPi A, my
display is now stuck on 16 colours and 640x480 and only fills about half
the
available screen area,I think it is to do with the drivers for the screen
but
am not sure if this is the case or where to go to get new ones or to check
the type of screen my laptop has, neither do I have the original discs
that
came with the laptop, lost on a house move, anyone any clues as to what I
shoul do

That's a driver issue. You need to install the drivers for the video card.
