Default Installing WinXP on a disk partition

If you want to just run XP, no apps or anything else for that matter, fine.
Minimum system requirements are for just that. MS got their money, they
don't care.

Could someone help me with the sequence for installing WinXP prof.
I am running a Pentium 2 350MHz With WIn98. 8.2GB hard drive.
I would like to keep Win98 and all of the programmes I run on it.
I have so far created a second primary partition of 4GB using Acronis
Partition Expert. No problem so far.
Now, how do I go about installing WinXP Professional on this new
partition and be able to choose on boot-up which systen to boot into.

Thanks in advance
