Default Installing WinXP on a disk partition

Boot the XP CD and choose that partition when prompted. Btw, the XP install
already provides its own partition manager, so using third party apps for
this purpose is unnecessary.

Could someone help me with the sequence for installing WinXP prof.
I am running a Pentium 2 350MHz With WIn98. 8.2GB hard drive.
I would like to keep Win98 and all of the programmes I run on it.
I have so far created a second primary partition of 4GB using Acronis
Partition Expert. No problem so far.
Now, how do I go about installing WinXP Professional on this new
partition and be able to choose on boot-up which systen to boot into.

Thanks in advance
