Default How to connect to using Wireless PCI cards?

I recently installed a 3COM PCI card ( 3CRGPC10075) on my (old) Compaq
Laptop ( Pentium II, Windows 98SE) hoping to go wireless.

I use a D Link DI 524 WLAN/LAN router for networking and Internet sharing
for my home computers( all XP).

The 3 COM Wirless Card Utility running on my COmpaq Laptop shows that I am
connected to my Network, which confirms that the 3COM wireless card install
was correctly done, however I am still unable to connect on the Internet.

From my other PC on the homenetwork I am able to access the shared folders
and file sharing is not an issues. I am also able to see that the Compaq
laptop is reconginized and connected to my network on the 3COM Wireless Card.
However I am unable to get to the Internet. Other PCs on the same network (
some on LAN + some wireless) can acess the internet except the Compaq 98SE
laptop

Is there any additional steps I need to do to ensure I connect on the
INternet from the COmpaq?

I tried enabling ICS from the Add programs however as I have only one
Network card( my 3COM wireless card) it does not allow ICS to be installed.
