Yes. For some crazy and inexplicable reason Sun choose not to uninstall
the previous vulnerable version when installing an upgraded JavaVM.
Shows how little interest Sun appear to have in the security of their
users' systems. There are many users who have JRE 5.0 update 6
installed who are blissfully unaware that they also still have the very
vulnerable and frequently exploited Java JRE1.4 version present on their
systems.

I don't have JRE 1.4 on my system (add/remove), just four instances of
JRE 5.0.
