Default stuck in a loop

I did finally come across that bit of info,I think from you and from here.
After sifting through a ton of floppies I found one made from the computer
before it went belly up.I reformatted, did a clean install that seemed to be
successful but the thing will not boot as it should. I have changed the BIOS
sequence to boot from the HDD,then the CD, then Floppy,is that not the way it
should go?

I am having a huge problem with my wifes Gateway Essential 433C computer.I
did a clean install a few days ago and was loading programs and updating
drivers. I downloaded the wrong audio driver and when I unzipped it the
screen was FULL of icons, the wife wouldn`t have that so I put them into the
recycle bin. Later I had another driver downloading and a problem came
up...and bad went to worse so now I`m trying to do another clean install but
can`t get to a startup menu or anywhere with the boot disks I`ve been told to
download. I`m stuck in a loop of "insert disk, boot, remove disk, reboot,
remove disk.insert disk....any ideas? Two days ago this this was running so
well it scared me, now , nothing going.

Go into the BIOS setup and make sure the computer is set to boot from the
floppy drive. Be sure to save any changes. Then, go to
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and create a fresh boot floppy.
Please note that the downloads on this page are programs that must be run
on a working Windows computer and will not work if you simply copy them
to a floppy.
