Not yet, Kevin, but I un-checked this subject patch from the startup list
and ScanDefrag ran just fine. I have another post later down that supports
my contention that KB891711 is also responsible for failure to properly shut
down the computer. Believe me, I am aware of the Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc
fallacy and am subject to it. I am trying to avoid making a firm conclusion
yet.
