Hi all,
I just got a DELL Inspiron 3000 (oldie but goodie) with a Pentium II at
233MHz
and a display panel of 800x600.
I upgraded to Win 98SE, but the fonts on the screen don't look right.
Within a word, some letters are thicker than others, using more pixels in
their width
while other seems slender, using less pixels horizontally. The "thick"
letters look
choppy. This seems to happen arbitrarily, since an "n" in one word is
thick while
another "n" elsewhere is just right.
Display properties indicates:
Laptop Display Panel (800x600) on NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD
It is at true color (24 bit) (also tried it at Hi Color 16 bit)
Screen area is set at highest possible, 800x600
Any ideas on how to get the fonts to look better? Any recommendations are
welcomed :-)
