Default Unable to key product key off my Certificate of Authenticity.

I have a legit product key that I got when I bought my computer many many
years ago. I decided to wipe my hard drive and format it again and then
reload Windows 98. When it asked me for the Windows Product Key I entered

it
exactly as it is on my Certificate of Authenticity and I do not have

enough
keystrokes for it to take the number?

There are two numbers . . .
The MS Product ID is all-numeric, 20 digits, grouped 5-3-7-5.
The KS Product Key is alphanumeric, 25 characters, grouped 5-5-5-5-5.
You were supplied with both numbers on purchasing from MS: but as
posted elsewhere you can use "generic" numbers instead.
