Default Why does windows explorer accesses the internet after starting

Ran latest versions of both AdAware & Spybot and they find
nothing. Windows explorer wants to access the internet
after every re-boot before I try to do anything. I don't
access the internet through favorites. I'd like to know
where it mwants to go or why. Is there a way to know the
address of the site it wants to access?

If you access "favorites" from the start/favorites. You
are useing Windows Explorer to connect to the net. That

is
the only time my Sygate firewall reports is WE trying to
connect.
But you may have malware on your system. Run Adaware and
or SpybotS&D. There are several malwares that load on

your
system called "download.exe". Cleaning your IE temp
files, completly, wiil help. My Sygate firewall has an
application list that shows what is on the system that

may
or has contacted the internet. Don't know if ZoneAlarm

has
the same.
Post back on what you find.

ZoneAlarm tells me that windows explorer wants to have
access to the internet after starting up windows. I

don't
have anything in the startup files that would account

for
this. Critical update is not enabled, nothing in auto

exec
bat or config sys. Both Norton and McAffee virus

programs
don't see anything. No new programs have been installed
lately and I don't remember this happening except for

the
last week or so. Does anyone know why it wants to access
the internet???
