Default I'm deaf!

Thanks, Delboy. The driver I'm looking for is the standard (if there is such
a thing) Windows driver that comes with Windows Me for the speakers! I'm
going through all the directories with ANY *.inf files in them to see if the
installation program likes ANYTHING.

Does anyone know the name of the driver? I would assume that it
would/should be in the Windows installation CD, and knowing the name would
certainly cut down on my search time.

Thanks!!

Hi crpedro (Bellowing at the top of my voice) :-)

In SAFE MODE, Go to your yellow ?, remove PCI device AND any other
occurrences of PCI Multimedia Device, shut down and reboot in normal mode.
Windows should reinstall drivers etc.

Then, if necessary, go to the manufacturer's website and install the latest
driver(s) for your audio device.

Best of luck

A common mistake that people made when trying to design something completely
foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

My sound was acting goofy, so I thought I'd remove the driver and then
reinstall it. Well, I removed it, but now it appears the driver itself

was
removed from my system!

There's still a "PCI Multimedia Audio Device" listed with a BIG yellow
question mark in my Device Administrator, but I can't find the driver.

When you answer, be sure to speak up :-)
