What software did you install with the "emprex" drive? Is it also Nero software?

A problem that often arises is when a user installs "packet-writing" software from
two different vendors. Nero's packet-writing app is InCD; Roxio has DirectCD; and
there are other brands also. Only one packet writer app should be installed (if you
wish to have a packet writer, which enables you to use a CD-R or RW essentially as a
giant floppy disk).

Usually, there is no problem installing more than one "CD mastering" app....I have
both Nero and Roxio Easy CD Creator installed on a couple of computers with no
problems.....however, if I do install a packet writer, it is only from one of their
packages, not both.
Older versions of CD mastering software used to conflict with each other, but the
newer versions usually have no problem on most systems.

I am not sure from your post what exactly you have installed, and what you mean by
"not working".

Nero and incd is not working.

I used to have it working ok, then had to replace the rewriter drive. (six
months ago)

Installed the new software from the disc supplied with the emprex drive.

The new drive works ok when game cd's are in the drive.

Have used nearly all the "cleantools" from the Nero web site, and
reinstalled Nero and incd

Before we go to far could I ask a question,- after using the cleantool to
remove old installations of INCD for instance, why is it that when I do a
search for files and folders named "INCD" I get a list dating back several
years.

Many thanks Steve
