Default Running an old DOS program

In what, Windows or DOSBox? I'm not big on Windows internals, but I
think DOSBox uses SDL, and later versions (1.3 ??) are multi-
threaded / multi-core or whatever for better performance, though
DOSBox itself isn't. So maybe?? that's why? (Confusing.)
