As was I thought quite clearly stated, the poster had used another monitor
with the PC and experienced no problems (post of 10 August).

Updating the drivers doesn't help.

The reference you make to MUP401 sounds as if the drivers fro your
sound card might need reinstalling as MPU401 relates I think to the
midi interface. MPU (rather then MUP) stands for Midi Processing
Unit and is a feature of Roland and SoundBlaster sound cards.
