Perhaps your video adapter card doesn't support this resolution. This can
happen with cards that have an option to upgrade the memory, but you haven't
installed the option. Try reducing the number of colours and then
increasing the screen area. If this works, then video adapter card memory
is the problem.

It's also possible that your monitor can't handle the data rate required for
this screen area. Check your monitor specifications. If this is the problem
then you might be able to get it to work by reducing the refresh rate.
