I have an Intel Celeron 2Ghz, Intel 845GL chipset
motherborad, 256MB Ram, directx 9c desktop PC with WinME.
Recently I have been facing a strange problem.

Whenever I try to open a folder by double-clicking it,
Windows asks me to find a program to open it. If I right
click on any folder, I can see two "Open" options, one
works and the other doesn't. How can I get rid of this
extra "Open" so that I can open my folders by double
clicking !!

In explorer, click tools folder options then scrol down to folders and
file folders and edit what you see under advanced. Or you can use this gem
that makes things real easy:
