Word 4? For DOS?

To open in what? "windows 2000 xp" is meaningless to me. Do you mean Windows
2000 with Word XP (2002), or do you mean Windows XP with Word 2000, or do
you even have Microsoft Word installed on the new machine?

If they don't open in your current Word application, you might try
installing this Converter pack.

Otherwise, you're going to have to explain your situation better, and I'd
also recommend that you take it up with the Office/Word newsgroups.
