NetZero corrupted by Norton WinDoc?
After running Registry fix with Norton WinDoc, I have been unable to
get into NetZero. I also temporarily lost the IRQ on my modem, but I
got it back. NetZero says my installation is corrupted....

SCM Smart Card
Well, the thing that got me playing with the SCM setting was that I
could not get my PC to talk to my Palm Pilot (never, for four years).
I found out it was because it was COM1 not COM2. Meanwhile...

Are mouse/keyboard on COM1? (vjp2)
Well, one problem was it was COM1 not COM2 and I may not even have a COM2.
I used a treminal emulator (Kermit) to look at each port and the one
responding to the Pilot was COM1. THen I ran the Pilot...

I was really surprised when W98 knew what SCM was.

SCM Smart Card
I have an SCM Smart Card from 1996 which runs under DOS and Win3.1.
On Win98 (dual boot) it found the card reader and I installed it.
It knows when the card is removed and the card reader itself...

W98 DOS7 Screen Mode fix?
I will try co80.
What happens is old DOS programs, even running in pure DOS mode
don't use the full screen under w98.
They use like a stripe in the middle.
It is most annoying with EMACS.

W98 DOS7 Screen Mode fix?
When I run DOS program under W98/DOS7 they look like they have been
flattened, like a wide screen movie viewed on a regular screen.
Is there any way to fix this? Mode command?

DOS boot (f8)
When this particular machine boots, hitting f8 gets you the
menu that lets you go into pure DOS.
Isn't there some binary .sys file you replace with a text version in
order to get this startup menu...
