clean to speed up

my computer is a win 98se.. it is really slow... pages take forever to load...
.also it will shut down or freeze up frequently... what is a safe way to
clean up computer,,, and speed it up

my puter crashed a while back avery since we redid it i get a message every
tiime on the same sites over and over again that says the security
certificate.... has expired or not valid. I have hit...

space for a DVD player/burner

my pc is slow as heck.. takes forever for a page to load shuts down saying
shutting down due to illegal performance? i think i should have a player now
but cant find.. so can i buy one and put in on...

its the security certificaties i keep getting messages from... I did try that
site though and save but it keeps goin to my printshop and says cant read
file.. I saved it to desktop and still opened...
