I don't know, never tried to, but I did try to append from another scanner
hooked up by TCP/IP and that gave the same error message, so my first guess
about USB problems must be wrong. There is...

Several people with the EXACT SAME problem (in 2002/2003), but no solution

Using OS Win98SE and Agfa Snapscan 1212u (USB).
When I try to import scan directly into Acrobat 5,0
it stops with the error message "Unrecognized object name"

When I used Win98 I never had this...

Win98 or Win98SE?

I have received a computer with Windows 98 installed and would like to know
which version this is.
How can I check withpout a doubt that I have either Win98 or Win98SE
installed?
