I've noticed some file name capping on this ME machine, but usually only
when I'm working on up/dwn loading web pages..
It's a habit now to just check and rename on the server...

scanreg /restore might be the answer needed.
I had a lost restoral points on this puter some time back but the points
were there when I did the scanreg/restore from the boot disk.. Saved...

feet on the bottom..

Mart,
my tried and true fix for that kinda failure has always been to get a new
HD and reinstall ME then use the old drive as a slave, transfer all "need
to save" data to the new drive then take...

you got the magic number (192.168.0.1) I'd been using the wrong set of
numbers.
possibly lack of other puters on the router might be some of the problem.
(I haven't added any yet, but...

pointer around the screen..
No rush on the repair trick, the restore did the job. But it would be nice

So could someone explain to me what it was that my wife did that would cause
the icon bar at the bottom of the windows screen to move to...
