First, thanks for all the quick replies. As usual, solve one problem and
get another. As Heirloom suggested, I deleted IsUninst.exe and got a little
farther along in the install process but...

I followed you advice and found 4 leftover ATI files in INF and 1 in
INF\OTHER, renamed them and tried again but no luck. I then tried searching
Windows for ATI* and found 41 files...

I think I may be on the right track. About 2 wks ago I updated the
Catalyst driver for my ATI Radeon 7200 32meg card. Since the error msg
suggested that a driver wasn't loading...
