seems there was something about the boot manager used also..

Downloaded the material [pdfs and DMI file] for the puter, seems it came
with some CDs including something similar to a restore CD/configuration
setup.
Did you use that to setup the...

Sorry, more details, and update. I wiped the drive, started over. Created a
4GB partition near the top of the drive because I need most of the space for
my XP partition - I've managed my computers...

Here is a good one for you. I have a Toshiba Satellite s173-1415. I've had
it for years, and have dual booted to Win98 and XP all this time, no
problem. I even found display drivers for the oddball...

Can you tell us what Windows XP has that Windows 2000 doesn't?
Better Stability. Without exception, every system I upgraded from Win2000 to
XP exhibited noticeably better stability.
As for NT4...

all its bugs, as released Windows 2000 was a very stable operating system
and much more capable than Windows...

There's no such upper boundary in W98. The theoretical maximum size for
FAT32 partitions is 2TB. An unpatched W98 installation has a problem with
