I looked at, moved, muted, unmuted every control I could find in every
program that uses sound.

No dice. No deal. No sound.


I told the client 'tis time to do the format. Or get a new computer....

I tried changing the sound card; same symptoms.

Just spent too much time this last weekend removing, restoring, installing
drivers for the combo-card: voice modem/sound...

A couple of weeks ago the sound stopped. I have tried all and every.

I have tried a different sound card....
