Can't reinstall WMP 6.4
I use 6.4 simply as an mpeg viewer on win98 SE and do not want later versions
with extra unneeded baggage. After downloading an mpeg joiner, (that did not

System hangs at finish of CD burn
Well that didn't work either. Cleaned up again and did a custom install
leaving out the label creator but the system still hung up. I was able to
close ECDC but windows itself had many problems....

Thanks for the help so far. I already uninstalled via add/remove, ran
roxiozap and installed the 5.3.5.10 upgrade. Did all required restarts along
the way - all without a hitch. Problem still...

Unwanted(?) program runs from startup
I'm willing to try something new but never heard of these products. Norton
Internet Sec has the firewall, antivirus, & scans my email for viruses and
spam. Do these other two do all the same stuff...

Very interesting article. However, I had already tried Bill's suggestion of
renaming the WBEM directory. Windows did not cough up any error message what
so ever. I like this simpler method rather...
