Thanks for the link. The best I could do was to find a version 1.1 or 4.0
for Vista. The computer is at another house, so it may take a few days for
me to get over there. I will post results...

I have a WinMe/Office 2000 for Small Business application. I inadvertently
reinstalled WinMe and now I cannot open Excel 2000. I cannot open the
program itself via the Start menu, or double click...

Yesterday I visited the Windows Update (WU) site and downloaded a critical
update for Outlook Express 6. After downloading, when I return to WU, I get
referred to the Microsoft support site Office...

I'm using the new version of AVG Free anti-virus on a WinMe computer without
problems. This computer has less RAM than yours, but a faster processor.

Thanks for everybody's help and comments.

No change in my problem. Using the Start path,
or deleting cookies, or installing the vb update
does not help.

The patch did NOT work. A message box stated it did install successfully.

The Windows Update site refers me Office of Mac page.

I reinstalled WinMe. I went to the Windows Update site to pick up the
updates. The first one I downloaded and installed was IE6 SP1. The Windows
Update site now thinks I'm a Mac OS and redirects me...
