in desktop.
One thing there are no power hookups and the cable connections look...

So I guess I may have screwed it up when I reinstalled win 98se which
included reformatting the HD. Oh well.
It didn't ask for a partition other than 'normal' setup. And I didn't have
any original...

PM = enable or disabled
Power Switch Type = Suspend on/off
LID Switch Type = Screenoff / suspend
Suspend mode = POS(S1) / Disable /...

Aas a followup.
I pulled the battery and the startup stops on the first page asking for;
Press F1 to run SETUP
Press F2 to load default values and continue
Anyway the info is as follows.

Sorry for the delays, work.

Not sure exactly what make this thing is.No markings on case.
The only info is on a plate on bottom of system and it's stated "Personal
Computer Model No....

Followed your instructions but still no go.

I went into BIOS and set floopy to be "1st Boot Device", inserted floppy and
restarted system.
After intitial startup, goes straight to error msg.
