how to track new forum posts?

Hi!

I'm looking for way to automatically or with few efforts to track new
messages at various forums.

For instance, I have a list of 20 forums, but I'm interested only in
participating in certain discussions.

If I can track my favorite forums in some way, for instance sorting
posts by keywords? If keyword appeared in post or post subject, then I
have a warning about this.

Is there any service or php script or something?

Easily done. Leave the web forums for the kiddies and use a proper
newsreader to access the nntp newsgroups (they are not forums) and set up
the appropriate rules.
