drive letter missing
Win98SE. Been having problems where the system freezes and then only the
reset button will reboot. Ctrl+Alt+Del not responsive. Running 2 drives, C:\ and D:\. C:\ has a 5g partition which, I think; was recognized as E:\. After the last freeze/reboot, right-clicking My Computer; my second hard drive is not listed on the left side of explorer. My partition is now listed as D:\ with 2 separate folders of Program Files on it. One is from D:\ and the other from the original E:\. Now that everyone is completely confused, how do I get my OS to recognize my second hard drive (D:\) again? Thank you, Steve T. |

I noticed that my Maxtor was no longer being recognized in the boot-up
process and went into BIOS and changed the setting to AUTO on the Primary Slave. It was at NONE. Now all is well (fingers still crossed). Thanks, Steve T. "Steve T" wrote in message ... Win98SE.
