Add/Remove Programs - Windows Setup
then use Windows Update to update it again. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "rrricardo kaka" wrote in message ... i deleted it a while back and im trying to get it back. i updated it on windows update and when i click on the icon all i get i message saying that i need a required .DLL file and WMMUTIL.DLL was not found. can anyone like help with this and or haas a solution in which i can get my windows movie maker back?? |

Noel,
Unfortunately MovieMaker is not an option in Windows Setup in the same way as Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer and is installed by default. Unfortunately also, despite repeated requests to Microsoft, the MovieMaker update for Win Me is not available via the WindowsUpdate Catalogue or from the Download Centre. The update is referred to as 287564 but has never had an associated KB article or link other than via the Windows Update site where it is simply referred to as an upgrade for MovieMaker. The OP should be able to install the updated MovieMaker and hopefully correct their problems using the following link: http://download.windowsupdate.com/ms...567C1451.EX E -- Mike Maltby Noel Paton wrote: Add/Remove Programs - Windows Setup then use Windows Update to update it again. |

I could have sworn it was in there somewhere, but you are right (as distressingly usualg)... I was installing Panda on my ME VPC at the time and couldn't check (took an age to install...) -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "Mike M" wrote in message ...
