What's the best 'full screen' flv viewer to use with Win98?

Tried three of flv players:
??
Flash Movie Player
Riva something

all come up with a postage stamp sized screen that is NOT adjustable.

Anybody out there make a great flv player that is FULL SCREEN?

Works on Win98FE

An older version (v.0.8.6) of VLC Player works with Win98:
Scroll down to the Windows 95/98/Me section he
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

It can be toggled to full screen.

What's the best 'full screen' flv viewer to use with Win98?

I've found when it comes to W98 and playing FLVs there is very little
support ... but there is a COMBINATION of software which works wonders!
To give all the details would take an hour of pounding on the KB (time
which I don't have), so here it is in brief.

This combination of software allows the playing of ANY FLV (thus far)
whether windowed or full screen. BTW, it's been a L-O-N-G time since
setting this up so will do my best with recall ! Obtain and set-up the
following softwa

1. FLV Splitter (sourceforge.net), use v1.005, Gabest altered version
(2007); be sure to REGISTER the .ax on your PC; e.g. START | RUN |
regsvr32 flvsplitter.ax
2. FFDshow (I use version rev 1324 2007-07-01), video decoder must be
specifically setup up to play FLVs
3. WinAMP (I use v5.31); the Nullsoft DirectShow decoder (v1.0,
included?) must be setup to play FLVs

Last not; I HIGHLY recommend a backup of your registry (as a minimum).
FFDshow will REALLY change some AV related entries!!

Wow! I downloaded it, went and got the unicode layer, installed it.
Looks like VLCPlayer wants to play EVERYTHING BUT!!! .flv

As I went through the list to prevent VideoLAN from attaching itself
to files like .wav and .bin I did NOT see any listing for .flv

OK, maybe an oversight. After installing, I used VLCPlayer to
open .flv only to find it puts up a series of vertical stripes, ...the
size of a postage stamp.

You've always given me good advice before. Did I do something wrong?
Does VLCPlayer play .flv files?

ARRRGG!!!

VLCPlayer has attached itself to files I USED to watch, and WON'T PLAY
THEM!!! Problem is I don't remember what used to play them to fix
this.

Won't even play a simple .wmv file

Just vertical bars

Must be something wrong, soemwhere.

Thank you for your reply.

After the frustrating experience with VLC Player, I stumbled across
Sothink FLV Player for WinXP, Win2000, etc

BUT!!! it works on Win98, but need to install one of the Adobe Flash
Player somethings and it works incredibly well

I get FULL SCREEN video with NO margins

http://www.sothinkmedia.com/flv-player

and only 3+MB, not very big.

Robert
