Can't upload image to wallpaper without enabling Active Desktop
When I select a .jpg from my files to use as wallpaper, I
get a message that says I can only use the image if I enable Active Desktop. I don't want Active Desktop enabled . . . and I used to be able to load any image without this happening. How can I get around this? |

Thanks. I still couldn't load it from the control panel
(same Active Desktop message), but I just saved it as wallpaper from the Paint program. There's always a way! LB -----Original Message----- Change it to a bitmap - .bmp Joe "LB" wrote in message ... Load the jpg into an image editor and save it as bmp avoids the "Active
Desktop must be active" bs. "LB" wrote in message ... Thanks. I still couldn't load it from the control panel (same Active Desktop message), but I just saved it as wallpaper from the Paint program. You can change your desktop wallpaper by right clicking a blank part of the
desktop and entering the program that way. Also, you might want to download Irfanview. It's a free graphics program and is simple to use. I've been using it for years. http://www.irfanview.com/ Thanks for letting us know you solved the problem. Joe "LB" wrote in message ... Thanks.
