Cheers for 'Avast'

I promised them (Avast) I would and here it is:

"This is to praise and to attest to the effectiveness and thoroughness of
the 'Avast Antivirus Program'."
In no way am I trying to promote the product itself, except for pointing out
its advantages.
The motivation to do this, was their follow-up in notifying me of my
re-registration being due and that there were no flaws in the entire
process, even though the program as a home edition is totally free. The
program is updated daily and at times even twice. All of this I find
extremely user friendly and helpful.
What more could I ask for?

Harry,

and fully realizing probable existence of disagreements, which in turn 'may'
even help to underpin my convictions.

I guess if you can plug a product without "endorsing" it, I can too. The
only caveats I have are that avast! takes a long time to do a full virus
scan (if you ask it to check everything and have a fairly sizeable number of
programs) and it does not allow the computer to take automatic System
Restore points if avast! is running in the background. Otherwise, a very
smooth, unobtrusive virus checker.

I have no financial or business relationship with avast! by ALWIL in any
way.
