When rebooting Scandisk hangs
I just started having a strange problem with my Win 98SE system When I
do a restart after a Win hangup, the system used to do a scandisk while in Dos to check the files. Well that worked for a number of years. Now, when it starts doing the automatic scandisk, I get the initial small blue screen, then the testing of the floppy drives and then it just hangs. It will no longer continue the scandisk or do the rest of the booting. What I have to do now, is reboot to DOS and then manuall do scandisk on eack of my partitions. After that, the system boots normally. Any reason this scan is no longer acting naturally? I haven't changed anything in autoexec or config or anything else relative to this problem. Thanks, Len |
