USB 2.0 versus 1.1

I'd like to buy a Kingston 512 MB USB Flash Memory Stick. In its
features, it says it is for USB 2.0. I have an older computer and it
has USB 1.1. Does that memory stick work on my computer, though slower?

When drivers for your OS are available, it will work. (at about 1MB/sec)

It might, but the manufacturer does not guarantee
this: all you can do is ask the vendor to accept
return of the stick if it does not run on your Win98FE.
USB version 2 is installled by Win96SE (Second Edition.)
