Installation cd convert to floppy disks?

Is it possibe to put the Win98 SE installation CD onto
Floppies to install? If so, how can I do this?

The problem I am having is that Win95, Win98 and WinME
Boot disk cannot recognize the cd-rom drive in my old
Panasonic CF-62 (P1, 32RAM) laptop. Even if I try the
bootdisk with CD-ROM enabled no cd-rom is found so I guess
it is not compatible. I do have a Win 98SE installation
cd, and want to be able to install on the laptop.

Thanks,
Charles

This is not a practical proposition. It would be
faster and cheaper to fit a new CD ROM drive
in the PC. (Drives are the components that
wear out soonest.)

If this is not practical, see if you can make
a cable network between this PC and another
one, to copy the instal CD to its hard drive.

No, you can't. The installation files are primarily packed into CAB files, many
of which are larger than a single floppy.

Don has the right idea. Another option is to learn how to install special CD
drivers for your Panasonic drive.
