Did you install the printer drivers before first connecting each printer?
For many usb devices it is essential to install the drivers before connecting the device. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP dbodz wrote: Does anyone know of any software that would conflict and not alllow my two printers to be detected on the PC via USB ports? Thanks for responding. Yes I did. that is I did install the drivers before connecting the printers. HP deskjets tell you not to connect the printer until prompted Any event I figured it out. The scanner software was conflicting with USB somehow. Once I uninstalled the Scanner software, and then tried to install the printer software drivers for my Hp Deskjet, it installled no problem. Go figure I guess from now on, printers must be installed before scanners Oh yeah , if interested, the scanner was a Visioneer 7600 Flatbed USB scanner. dbodz "Mike M" wrote in message ...
