Desktop images
 

when I go to My Computer/ Control Panel/ Display I can
only select .bmp pictures for my desktop. I'm pretty sure
that at one time I could use .jpg pictures. Is there some
change I can make to allow .jpg pics???

Have you perhaps disabled active desktop using TweakUI since active desktop is
required to use jpgs for the desktop?
