Red flag from the WWOTN!
Hi All,
Wow, I go away for a few days and the crazy Canuck tells me the Me forum is going to disintegrate with the rest, bummer. Before it dies completely, I must say that I have enjoyed conversing with each and every one of you. I know I have never been as much help on the technical stuff as most of you, but, I do hope that I have brought, at least, one smile to anyone that needed one. Life is always better with a little levity. We've had some good times and made some indelible memories.....I thank you all for being such good friends, I'll miss reading your faces. Take care and may God bless you all. Heirloom, old and when you catch an odd bouquet in that southern breeze.......know there is chili cookin' in Texas! |

Hey Noel!
Good to read your face again! Sorry to hear about your health problems, it seems we have a lot more in common of late!! I do wish you the very best for a speedy recovery Heirloom, old and the circumcisions are beyond my control! "Noel Paton" wrote in message ... "Heirloom" wrote in message ... As ever, HL, another couple of classic tags, bottled for posterity.
The past ten years has sure taken its toll on all of our health's, one way or another and the windowsme.general has always been good group (the best!) to subscribe to. But as Mike and I were discussing just yesterday, time to move on. WinMe was a good system, despite the dissenters - and not being too impressed with Win7, I think I'll now stick with XP (wherever I can) until they finally kill that too. Thanks to ALL the regulars (too many to mention individually) for the all the good times and pleasant company. The Troll's? - Well, maybe they can now get a life! Then again, with the closure of the MS NNTP Newsgroups, perhaps we all can now! All the best in whatever your futures hold - and to Heather, please keep sending the "Maxine's". Always a pleasure to read. Mart "Heirloom" wrote in message ... Hey Noel! Good to read your face again! Sorry to hear about your health problems, it seems we have a lot more in common of late!! Hi Mart, Heirloom and all,
You really do seem to have summed up most of what I wanted to say in what could turn out to be my last posting here. Herr Loom's tags - Loved them all. Will and already do miss them. Health issues - we all get older but for some of us here time hasn't treated us as well as we might have hoped. Here's hoping that everyone continues to prosper and that we can avoid the quacks as much as possible. Moving on - Still running XP on the box that I use most but I'm not that unhappy with Win 7 other than that, like in Vista, I feel that Explorer freezes and crashes too frequently especially when copying files across my LAN. As for search, what search? Simply pathetic, give me that in XP (or Win Me) any day. Heather & Maxine - Love them both and Heather please keep them coming even if I am more than tardy in replying. Shane and others to whom I owe a post. I really must apologise for not writing sooner. It's not that I don't care or want to reply it's just that nowadays I frequently find it difficult to string more than two thoughts together. Trolls - some have caused me to laugh, others have been simply pathetic. As for "getting a life", as Mart & I agreed yesterday, from now on I'm sticking to using my computers and I'll let Bungle (Bing+Google but rarely Bing) be my friend when I have a problem. I don't like forums and even less some of the toadies that nowadays seem to populate those from Microsoft. Give me independent thought and helpful answers any day. Through this and other Microsoft newsgroups I've made many friends and had the good fortune to actually meet a number of you. There are too many to list and I'll probably give unintended offense to those I omit to mention but cannot sign off with a hi and a wave to Joan & Heather, Shane, Noel & Mart, Will (who returned to his shell some time ago), Robear, Heirloom. AAH and Harry. Thanks to you all. Let me endorse Mart's "all the best in whatever your futures hold". If anybody feels they wish to contact me should find me. Now returning at long last to his shell. -- Mike M Mart wrote: As ever, HL, another couple of classic tags, bottled for posterity. Well after just reading Mikes post I can't think of anything to say now
:-( especially after I'd just finished writing a reply to Heather telling her he doesn't very often reply to anyone lol It's so good to see your face again Heirloom and I'll miss you and your taglines, nobody could tag like you and we made sure nobody else tried g Heather and Maxine, well the two go together like fish and chips you can't have one without the other so she better keep them coming g So after that I think Mart and Mike said everything that I was thinking, I'll still be around and will pop into the forums now and then, even if it's only to annoy Robear bless him. Sending all the regulars and my friends my love it's been a good time here and I'll miss the friendly feeling it always had. Hello Mike and Friends (I think we all recognize each other):
It surely is good to 'read' Heirlooms face again, even though it probably is for the last time. You summed it up perfectly, Mike, and while reading all these 'goodbyes', I felt a lump in my throat. Shame on you, Microsoft, to break up such a rewarding relationship. Hope to meet everyone one of you again at some time in the near or not so near future. Meanwhile I make due with my ME and Vista, until 'progress' throws us another curve ball. Fare well everybody.... Harry. "Mike M" wrote in message ...
