Problem with using Vesa-modi - can't use INT 21h, ah=02h/06h/09h/etc anymore.
Today I thought seeing if I could use a VESA mode (I want to draw some
graphics). Strangely enough setting a VESA-mode (using INT 10h, ax=4F02h, bx=0101h) makes it impossible for me to use INT 21h, AH=02h/06h/09h character-output. For some reason I get, when I try, an error about the AUX device being unwritable, and if I want to ignore/abort/etc. However, INT 10h,AH=0Eh output works o.k. Does anyone here have an idea why Win98 responds this way and/or what I can do to solve the problem ? Regards, Rudy Wieser |
