Internet Explorer 6.X -- Page Transitions

I recently had to reinstall Windows ME.

Page Transitions got activated when I installed Internet Explorer. I
don't like the page transitions -- affects my eyes too much.

I've turned page transitions off in Tools / Internet Options. Darn
thing is still happening.

I edited the registry -- still happening.

Anyone got any idea how I can REALLY turn OFF page transitions??

Thanks.

I repaired IE6: (that seems to have fixed it)

To repair (or add features to IE6)

Make sure you have the source files from the same location they were
installed
Do a Start / Run / rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance
You will then be given the options to Add a Component or Repair

It's a lot easier (not to mention safer!) to run a Repair of IE from
Add/Remove Programs....
Reboot to Safe Mode
Go to Add/Remove Programs and try a repair of Internet Explorer from there.
Go to the entry for 'Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 and Internet Tools'
in Add/Remove Programs
Click on Remove - and click on Repair on the window that pops up
Reboot on request to Normal Mode

If the above entry isn't there, you first need to uninstall all the patches
applied, then do the repair, then reapply the patches
The patches are listed in Add/Remove under the names 'Internet Explorer
Qxxxxxx'
highlight, click Remove - reboot if requested.
Repeat until the MSIE6SP1 entry appears - then repair as above.

Why not fix it then? The method was posted in response to your earlier
post.
