Extended DOS Partition with No Logical Drives
I am trying to reinstall Windows 98 on my computer. It shipped with a 8GB
hard drive. When I Format the drive, it only shows that 2GB of the drive is available for use. I want to get rid of an Extended DOS partition occupying the other 6GB of space. However, when attempting to delete this with FDISK, I am told that there are Logical Drives present, when the FDISK Information Screen for the same partition says no such thing is present. |

Extended DOS Partition with No Logical Drives
If you simply want to clear the disk and start over then there is some
information he http://www.digitalissues.co.uk/html/...-wipe-zap.html If you want to preserve the existing partition then you need to know what it is. Do FDISK /Status and take a note of the display. It is the details of the current partitioning. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "TylerW" wrote in message ... I am trying to reinstall Windows 98 on my computer.
