Microsoft Disk Defragmenter
 

For some time now my Microsoft Disk Defragmenter has not
been working. It just starts over and over again and never
completes. Please help!

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode and do the Scandisk and Defrag while in
that mode. That way Windows is not loaded and it will clean it better.

Go to Start/Shutdown/Restart and while the computer is restarting
(rebooting), hold down the Ctrl (or F8) key and you should eventually get a
white & black screen with 4 choices.......pick #3....Safe Mode.

When you have scandisked and defragged, then reboot normally and it will now
come back up in normal Windows Mode (your icons may be scattered....move
them back into place).
