HP 4430 restore CDs

Hi Kelly. My in-laws bought an HP 4430 and lost their restore CDs. Their system needs restored but they want to keep the investment to a minimum.

I contacted HP who said Microsoft now provides the restore CDs. I don't want to pay their $35 per incident fee if they no longer carry these. Windows 98 could be installed but they lose all the original software.

Any suggestions? Who should be contacted at Microsoft to see if I could get the original restore CDs?

Thanks.

HP 4430 restore CDs

MS does not replace HP restore CDs or any other kind of OEM disk. They do
sell replacement copies of *retail* full and upgrade versions. I don't know
what they might be willing to do in your circumstances--ask them:
1-800-360-7561
