Explain: Microsoft MSDN subscriptions include Win-3.x, but not Win-9x???

I was shown a printout from one of our developers today.

The URL on the page was:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subs...s/default.aspx

I'm not able to bring that page up from home. Instead I get
login.live.com (some Microsoft hotmail bull****).

Ok fine.

On the printout, the list of Operating Systems was expanded. 29 of
them.

On that list was

- MS DOS
- Windows 3.1 (16 bit)
- Windows 3.11 (16 bit)
- Windows 3.2 (16 bit)
- Workgroups 3.11 (16 bit)
- 5 windows CE entries

Also listed is several versions of "Windows Internet Explorer" (didn't
know that Explorer is considered to be an OS).

What I find odd is that NT, ME, 2k, or Win-9x is not on that list.

Even though DOS and 4 versions of Win 3.x are listed.

Can anyone explain that? Any MVP's ?

And what the hell is Win 3.2 ?
