Problems with Hewlett Packard printer

Hi. I think this might not be the correct board for this posting. If that's the
case, I'd appreciate your directing me to a more appropriate board/newsgroup.

I have a consistent problem with my Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 3150
printer/fax/scanner. It is not a flat bed. It is a feeder-type printer. Nearly
every time I use it, several or many sheets of blank paper are fed through in
addition to the sheet(s) I am interested in copying. Does anyone know what
causes this, and how can I rectify the problem? Thank you.

I've had a number of HP's that did that ...usually when paper tray was less
than half full...

its the feeder assembly , needs to be replaced ...regular problem ..100-150
$ service fee prob.
