I'm Lost!!

I'm using Windows 98 and when I try to download a video, I'm getting the
error message, Invalid Syntax - Error = 800401E4. Windows Media Player fills
up the entire screen and just stops. It now happens for any video I try to
download from any website. I've been using Media Player for awhile now and
this is the first time I've had a problem with it. I'm sure it's something
simple but it's beyond me. Can anybody help?
Thanks, Doug.

This message indicates that a script has failed in attempting to establish a
connection. You should run a thorough anti-virus and adware scan to confirm
that your player hasn't been compromised.

Install RealPlayer.
or instead of clicking on a link, right-click on it and select "save as".
