USB problems
I have a Philips 400Mhz, 256Ram, Windows 98SE. I am not
able to use my USB ports and there is nothing in the devise manager showing any even exist. I have two USB ports on the back of my tower as well as a 4-port hub and none of the are recognized. My son-in-law says it sounds like something in the Bios and I do not want to mess with anything there for fear I could really mess things up. Thanking you in advance for any help you can send my way. Unfortunately, the answer is almost surely in the BIOS (hardware)
configuration. The ports are probably disabled there and that is where you'll need to re-enable them. -- Richard G. Thank you Richard for your reply. Maybe I will try that
after I do the switch from this computer to another computer as I plan on using the old computer for games when my grandkids visit and the newer computer for my genealogy and such. -----Original Message----- Unfortunately, the answer is almost surely in the BIOS (hardware) configuration.
