anyone got any ideas on how i can get it to be seen? Do the product specs from the drive manufacturer indicate that it is compatible with Windows 98 SE? At the very least you will need to install the driver in order for Windows 98 SE to be able to use the disk. The driver should be on a CD that came with the drive. If not then you will have to download it from the drive manuafacturer's web site. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C. " banjo" wrote in message ... anyone got any ideas on how i can get it to be seen? forgot to mention that it is formatted with "FAT32" Reattach the drive to the computer in which it was partitioned and formatted and confirm that it has not been corrupted. Also, try another USB device in the problem computer and make sure it functions correctly. If this doesn't help or can't be done, please repost with more information, including the manufacturers and model numbers of the problem computer's motherboard and the USB drive. Ben |

thank u ron. i have already done that, but no luck :( Does the USB port actually work with another device connected to it? Many computers from the Win98 era had USB ports built into the motherboard but were often shipped without connector between the motherboard and the USB port slot on the back of the computer. Also it was common for the USB ports to be disabled in the computer's BIOS setup. Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
